Just got these new straps. It's called the Assolutamente and we first saw this on the 339. The material feels like the JV nubucks. These should age nicely.

It is kind of like having non-identical twins wearing the same shoes.

so these are official Panerai straps..? Can you specify which buckle you want..? I'd quite like this for my 292 but would need a black buckle.

For the 292, you just the size 27/22 so that you can use your original black Panerai buckle.

I've just spoken to my local Panerai dealer (not my usual one as they have stopped doing Panerai) and ordered one for my 292 and also asked if they can get a black JV, but it isn't called JV in the catalogue so he's having to call them on Mon for availability.

Can't wait to see that combo. A gold JV strap like that on the Pam 323 would also rock with your 292.

which although has the same width, apparently doesn't fit the Radiomir....might double check next week as he may have confused the 44mm code with the Mare Nostrum code.

I have seen the honey gold JV on a 292 and it does look good but I have gone for the black JV and this dark brown (ish) beauty....I thought 2 brown straps was going too far.  Also asked about a spare buckle but they are £180 so I'll leave that for now but I know they are available even though they are special orders...not in stock at Panerai..!!

the Assolutamente will also Patina with Time (like the JV)  .

 it'll get Darker and Glossier !!!! but will look Great.

Should look great once it gets some Patina.
