Dial w/ the true lineage, proper case size, in house 8 day movements, what's there not to love?
True the 127 would always be the first but I see the 368 being the improved 127. Or what the 127 should have been from day 1!
Ein Guten Tag!
It should be compared more with the 217 only, in which case yes i'd say that it does beat it, but to each his own and there are many Ristis out there who believe that the 127 / 217 combo is way better than this year's 375 /368 combo.
I for one missed the boat with the 1st 2, and this upcomings being my very 1st Luminors, i cannot compare how much i will miss the 127 / 217, but i don't think i will because i'm more of an apreciator higher technology case materials, Panerai composite and titanium vs the SS of both older cases. And of course the movements, in-house vs ETA.
So i look forward to enjoying my combo soon.

each has it's Own Beauty & Soul..
then how do you explain the Value of 289 that can be had for a bit less than the 127 or 217 ????!!!
as you know , the Difference and Complications between the Unitas and the Inhouse Movement in THESE Watches are HUGE . Plus one comes in Steel Case and the other is 18K Gold.
yes i know . it is Hard to Explain.
Cheers
That will give the PAM127 a run for its money IMO!

posts on the 127 knows that it's the only piece in my collection, they would have to pry out of my dieing hand. Every other Panerai I own, has a.....price, the Fiddy doesn't. I will bequeth the Fiddy to my favourite nephew (I don't have children of my own). Having said that, Panerai can (and will) keep on churning out model after model, that will be compared to the Fiddy, will surpass it for technological contents, innovative materials etc etc. But please, leave the Fiddy alone...

One may need to own them to enjoy as individuals.
It is difficult to use any words to describe particularly the 127/217. I love both.
I am yet to wear the 368 or see it in person. But, it sounds cool with the in-house movement.
