Officine Panerai

Its been a 3+ year hiatus that I have taken from Panerai.  The power of the design is just too much to resist for me.  If you had to ask me which watches, as a whole, I think are the most attractive design wise to me - I'd have to say Panerai.  Simple, sleek some of them - tool and function in others.  I think you just need to master not getting blinded by each new dial tweak or strap change the manufacture does. 

In any case.....I saw this watch on a friends wrist at a formal function (guy only wears panerais no matter how hard I've been trying to teach him otherwise) - in anycase - he was wearing a browish suit and with a 339 on his wrist - it just looked great. 

I had to have one!  First time I've ever paid of retail for a watch ever.  If the design just speaks to you, I guess its ok.....well, maybe I'm justifying my lunacy here, but I am very pleased.  

 

So - what goes with this piece well - I'm thinking a 127 and a 249.  Any suggestions?

I still have not received mine and I justy love this watch.

Either the 127 or the 249 are both great choices, but have you considered the 317. In this case it is black.

congratulations. As for the "Robin" to the Batman, I was thinking more along the lines of a 375, but the 127 is not a bad choice either. Although the 249 is a watch I would buy just....because, I'm not getting the connection with the 339....

This really is a great watch - When I got home last night, my wife actually said "Wow, that is a really nice looking watch."

There is something to the color of this watch - And the way everything blends - The designers took their time with this one.  I am very pleased.

Unfortunately, I was told that this watch was completely sold out by the boutiques and about 5 US AD's I called.  I wound up buying this piece second hand, but, it was totally unworn and to me, when its the right watch - it is what it is.

I wonder - might it be covered under warranty?

If you're considering the PAM127, I'd get the PAM372 instead if you want a current production watch.
