I've only had this OEM strap, and it is always too tight or a little loose for my liking. And my wrist is somewhere around 6.5 inches. I wanted an ammo strap and I was wondering if I a short strap ammo was a possibility. Do I need a short strap?
Also a random question: what happens when these guys run out of WWII leather?
Thanks!

of each strap - the buckle strap & the strap w/ the buckle holes. Here's what you need to do since your wrist is 6.5".
1) For the strap that has the holes, measure from your OEM strap where you want to holes to begin with. I recommend having 2 holes punched before the 1st hole on the strap (hole that is closest to lug) maybe 5mm to 10mm earlier.
2) Measure the length of your OEM strap which has the buckle. You want this part to be slightly less (~5mm to 10mm).
Now, if you want a longer tail on the strap, then for 1) add 10-20mm extra length depending on your preference but still keep the punched holes measurements the same.
The above is what you should do if you want to order a custom made strap. Don't accept the strapmaker's stock short strap measurements, if any. Have him make a strap according to your measurements since his stock measurements may not fit your wrist.
