I'm planning in geting my 4th member to the family, curently 000, 246, 249 and want to get a ceramic or composite model so i'm looking at the new 339 which is really nice or the 317 diferent style but also great
Any sugestions and coments will help, thanks in advance.

The children are all lovely.

As for the choice between the 339 and the 317 that is very difficult to answer, it really comes down to personnal tast.

I have the 317 and I just love it and I also ordered the 339, I do not think that I would be able to choose between the two.

If I didn't already own the 277 version I'd get the 317. The domed crystal is a huge draw for me and amongst many of it's attractions, including the wonderfully stealthy hue of the ceramic. The 339 unfortunately doesn't really do it for me I'm afraid. I'm yet to be convinced by composite and reckon the novelty would wear off, leaving me wondering why I'm wearing a 'dull brown' watch.

Why?  Because you already have 2 Radiomirs - PAM246 & PAM249 - and only 1 Luminor.  So mix your collection up more and get a Luminor 1950 case which is different than the standard Luminor case that the PAM0 uses.

I have both, I would go for the 317 if its a K, purely because its so special.

Only 500 made, PVD movement, a really classy complicated movement, GTM, 8 day Power reserve with indication and single button chrono.

Even though the 339 is a LE there are 1500 made and it would be easier to get one down the line than the 317K .  If you can only get an L then I would go for 339.  For me if the watch is rare it adds a bit more to the whole essence of the watch and gives it a little more of a story.

but which ever one you go for, know you are getting a fantastic time piece.

Honestly, I'd be thrilled to have either one. If the 317, as others have said, I'd go for the K. the PVD movement is just so nice...and rare. The black ceramic Luminors do wear slightly smaller than their polished and brushed counterparts though. May or my not be an issue for you, but when I tried the 317 it felt much smaller than I was expecting.  

317K for me without doubt, but please don't pay way overprice for it!

 

Panerai should imo be clean and simple. I love chronographs but not from Panerai.

If you want to balance your collection, go for 317...

But of the2 I'd go for 339, for me...

Try to find the "K" series with the awesome PVD movement.

How do you find the size of 249?     Would you prefer yet another time-only watch or you a bit of interaction w/ a chronograph watch?   What draws you to your next Panerai, the simplicity of the dial or the unique in-house monopusher chronograph that powers the 317?   Do you think you'll stop at 4th one or you think you'll continue to go on?   How'bout the evil thought of owning both? 

Given what you own, I do agree 317 seems to complement your current collection better but none of these opinion matters more than what you heart is telling you...

Unless you really love the 246, is there any way you'd part with it?

That way, you could pony up a teeny bit more cash and get BOTH the 317 and 339.

The Cali would still give you your polished Rad fix...

The 317 gives you the chrono action you will miss with the 246...

And the 339 gives you a spectacular dial and unique case material.

000 is always a hero.

Well it looks like my new Panerai Dealer that just open  is getting my 339 at a very good price that the one  I have spotted  so I´m getting it NIB from a AD  the  317 NIB that I have spoken to  have to adjust in the price an may by also get it.

In this shot it looks like a much better pair with your 339 than the assolumente.
