Finish problems
Just asking if anyone as had the same problem with the finish of there ceramics,,the case is fine but between the lugs the finish is not the same

Just to add,, infinitesimal or not you can see it with the eye ,,, I've owned hundred of watches and none had visible dings

You're complaining about Panerai's quality control, right? Your english is..ermetic. As for your..defective..317, take it back to the shop and have them fix it, what's the big deal? You want to judge an entire company because of one..DEFECT..on one watch, that has been produced in thousands of pieces? If I were the quality controller of Panerai and I found out that 100 pieces, which represent less than 10% of a...thousands pieces run, were defective, I would open a bottle of...champagne...and celebrate.

I'm just asking people if it's the normal way ceramic cases are finished between the lugs,or is it a fault .. As it's my first ceramic
In that case, NO it's NOT normal. Go and get it fixed...
before your warranty runs out and you have to...pay...for the repair.

.....for someone with no experience of ceramic. And this forum is here for collectors to ask other collectors in a friendly and positive way. I have no experience of ceramic, and would be equally perplexed at what is described..... so great that an answer can be found here

Hey Steven,
That does not look like a ding, and I can understand it is disturbing to spend good money on a watch to discover a flaw after leaving the dealership. Could happen with any watch and any brand and it is impossible to determine if the flaw appeared after leaving the factory or before. Anyway, don't just accept the watch and get on with life. Do send it back to your dealer and keep us posted on the result.

of being concerned/upset about that ding....
Despite some superficial comments ,go get it right....watches are all about details,but definitely its easy to dismiss faults on ...other people watches....
And remember ,no question is a silly question here,your post was crystal clear from the beginning....

If it bothers you, then yes tell whoever you bought it from that you'd like this fixed. Seller will have to send it back to Panerai and get a brand new case because this isn't something you can patch up.
If it doesn't bother you, then let it be. You won't even see it since it's on the far side lug when watch is on your wrist.
In any case, assuming you bought watch brand new and watch is still under warranty, you have all the right to request this being fixed which is actually getting a brand new case.
