I am of the opinion that it will be something to get used to after all these years. To me, it looks like an aftermarket bracelet. Review and pictures from Monochrome.
I just sold my 3714 white dial blue hands after almost 15 years of ownership. An awesome watch. Never serviced. Run smoothly as new. The original 3714 is a true classic. But please... on a matching strap 😂
Transitions to a satin finish bracelet. It demonstrates that the bracelet was added later. If they had designed everything from scratch, the case would have been satin finished as well, only the bezel and crowns likely high polished. I’m sure they’ll sell though personally on a strap is THE way to go.
I can imagine someone at the atelier slapping a leftover bracelet on the watch, walking down the hall, and an executive searching for ideas notices and pitches it to the decision makers. Analogous to an automobile test mule that finds a way to production
First thing that came to my mind when I saw this was a special collaboration between Strapcode and IWC 😂

I believe it looks so ugly! The Portuguese is stunning on a leather bracelet. What else now? A big Pilot on a steel bracelet? You never know what they’re cooking in their facility.
I think watch companies are struggling to come up with something

new and exciting that we all actually find new and exciting, and most are grasping at straws. Every complication has been tried, and some improved on, but in the end there really isn't anything we haven't seen. A colored dial here and a colored dial there, really nothing new and exciting. I'm not going to stand in line for something not worth standing in line for, from any manufacturer. At today's prices it will really have to be NEW AND EXCITING.
