Although there is a reason behind the design of these pushers.
The entire Da Vinci case design was inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s circular fortress studies for the harbour of Piombino.
The concentric geometry, rounded bastions and harmonious proportions from these sketches were deliberately translated into the case architecture, the lugs - and even the shape of the pushers.
In 2017 IWC introduced the IWC Da Vinci Chronograph Ref. IW392101, and the pushers became more „conventional“.
Yet the watch still had a very … baroque character.

I always had a love hate relationship with the DaVinci .
Owned two of them but the reliability always causes me stress
I never had a problem with any of them.
All my IWC PCs have been super reliable. Only the chrono of my 3751 had to be repaired at one point. This was carried out by a certain Mr. Habring, who, to the best of my knowledge, developed the chronograph function for the Da Vinci.
Then i was unlucky with both Davinci,s
Both had some issues with the date at some point. 🤷🏻♂️
