... Of sharing a recent arrival to my stable.
Some time ago I showed here my then just adquired green dial ceramic bezel Hulk Submariner and Nicolas asked me if I had ever considered the purchase of the green bezel 16610 reference.
I answered "no" because as a matter of fact by some unknown reason I had never thought about it!
A few weeks ago I was offered this watch which shows very little wrist use with a complete set of box and tag/papers and I couldn't resist the temptation!
It is an F series made in 2003 so I guess it qualifies as an Anniversary Sub and fills the gap in my Submariner Collection. I'm happy with this watch which feels quite different on the wrist than the black bezel normal version.

Regarding series: I'm no expert in this particular reference variant but collectors tend to prefer Y and F series as they were made in 2003 to conmemorate 50 years of Submarine model. Y series I feel is rarer than F so much coveted.
I'm sure that more knowledgeable members here can throw more light on this matter.

Aaaah, the 16610LV
When I decided I wanted to have a sub in my collection, the LV was very appealing for a number of reasons. Maxi dial plots, differing it from the regular 16610, but also, of course the bezel. I was unsure that if I was only to have one modern sub, should it not have the black bezel? Will the green novelty wear off??
Well, I have owned it now for 4 years, and I still don't get bored of it. The green bezel always adds a little something to the watch whenever I look down at my wrist.
I actually bought a black bezel just to cover all my bases..... After 3 years of owning the black bezel, I still have never fitted it on

That would be a good addition. But I rather see the 1680 Red Sub as the ancester of this
16610 LV.

Agree with your view of the red Sub Nicolas! The 5512 I look for is just to mantain the line of the most important milestones in the crown guards line of Submariners in my collection (and also becasue ...

Enjoy your beautiful frog in good health! I had three of them, always sold them after a while and then regretted it again. In the end I decided to combine what I love about the 16610 to make it my custom favorite:
