Very appropriate for an " Air King " which refers to pilot watches from a distant past.
Not an easy Rolex. That may well be what pleases me.
What do you feel? Pleased or bored?

Replace 3, 6, 9 with 15, 30, 45 and fill all the numbers with lume.

I tried it on and must say: a great looking watch!
I found the Milgauss far too "glitzy", far too much sparkling with the polished middle parts of the bracelet and therefore not my taste.
THIS one is near perfect: all brushed bracelet with the combo of a perfectly polished and shiny bezel works very well!
The dial is stunning! All the numbers floating around, the WG solid 3,6 and 9 (that I miss on the new Explorer) are very playful, vibrant and dynamic.
The touch of colour make it also very, very likable.
The size could have been a little smaller and the clasp more safe, but this all would not be a hindrance to get it.
Best Rolex to buy since last years Oyster Perpetual in grey.
Like you, I don't like the middle polished links of the bracelet on the Milgauss. Still, I own it.
But if the real test confirms my feelings, I would love to add this one to the Milgauss 116400 GV.

I think this new AK looks quite sporty with a certain flamboyance ... more like a "young man's watch". The new explorer, I think, will look like a no-nonsense serious watch, true to its heritage.

Great pics! I agree, I think Rolex is clearly aiming at a younger audience with the AK.
But it's exactly for this reason - the brushed steel and , unconventional (for Rolex) dial - that make this watch vibrant and desirable.

I tried....twice.
Somehow it still doesn't talk to me yet.
I like the yellow and green accents, but was hoping the dial can be a little more shinier than this, plus more lume.
Don't know, maybe 3rd time will be a charm. I am 8th on the Daytona waiting list, and asked if I can be bumped up if I get this but this AD is a fair and good one.
It is not a popular or hot item for sure.
