never think this could ever happen. Just bought a brand new simple 114200 for my wife and the watch lost maybe one or two minutes per day. We go straight to the AD.

Yes...nearly half of my watches showed this phenomenon because...
The dreaded blight of our 21st century...MAGNETISM.
Bombarded by electromagnetic radiation and especially magnetic flux (loudspeakers, mobile phones, handbag magnetic clasps, alarm clocks etc) our watches are at risk.
In my case, it was moving house and the bagful of watches in the car boot (trunk for US readers) next to my powerful sub-woofer for a week was enough to magnetise half the watches.
Some were out by 15 - 20 minutes a day!
I used a LEPSI App on iPad to confirm magnetism and bought a Swiss demagnetiser (ELMA) that I can use repeatedly in future.
Note, there are Chinese-made demagnetisers too but I have no experience of them.

P.S. Magnets on handbag clasps are vicious as they are now high magnetic flux neodymium jobbies.

If I remember correctly...
magnetism usually causes a watch to run faster, not slower. This happens because the coils of the haispring are closer than normal causing them to touch and "shorten" the effective length of the spring. Losing time could be a different issue. Hopefully the AD has a timing machine, a demagnetizer, and can give you more info!
I always keep in mind that a mechanical watch is... a living machine. And so, like a human, sometimes it has little health problems (palpitations, throat clearing...) ;-)
Even if I'm not a Rolex specialist and fan, this brand is well known for its quality and I'm sure you'll quickly find an answer to your problem with them.

Also check if it is not the 'gear play' issue
Two of my watches show this phenomenon where the escapement is running accurately but the minute hand starts moving only 1-2 minutes after setting. The simple solution is to set the watch 1-2 minutes ahead of time for gears to 'catch up', after which it runs fine
If a watch is magnetized, it will run faster. If it runs slower, problem is different. I had experimented that in several brands, and in all cases problem...
... was that the watch I was buying had been resting in the shop´s vault for so long that oils had dried. All the watch required was cleaning and oiling under warranty.
It specially happens with some brands/models which are not so popular so they are slow sellers.
