Datejust font comparison
Hello,
Is anyone happy to stick their neck out on the side by side image below of two Datejusts and comment on the originality of the print on the right hand side? A friend showed me the watch and, at least in my eyes, it looks as if there are a few inconsistencies in the print, enough for me to suggest that he goes back to the seller.
Any thoughts would be welcome.

so here are the inconsistencies I noted from the right one as compared to the left one:
-the name Rolex in the right watch is not crisp and seems to have some shattering in its letters (possible redial)
-the laquer of the right watch is not as grainy as the left one which is original, however the right has golden indexes which can be guessed by o t swiss t o, the o meaning oro
-the hands on the right one seems to have seen the hands of a "newbie" watchmaker there are lot of scratches on them
-the logo in the right watch is not a metallic applied one unlike the one found in the left watch but one made in relief which is untypical of Rolex dials unless I am missing something

One of the more suspect elements of the printing on the right is the attached 't' and 'i' in 'certified'. In my eyes that is rather troubling.

perhaps it is a redial of an older damaged dial? this is the question to ask to the seller where your friend bought the watch [nt]

Personnally I would have asked a receipt of the invoice regarding the original watch's purchase from the seller and if he was the original owner as well to clear any possible doubts.
But perhaps I am too much demanding and too cautious as well
Bought from a dealer and
serviced very recently in an official Rolex service centre, although I am not experienced enough to know whether a refinished dial has any bearing on whether Rolex service a watch or not.
