Yes, the James Bond by George Lazenby had a Pre daytona 6238 silver dial on his wrist on that film. Not the best Bond...
... for my taste but the great Diana Rigg (Emma Peel from the Avengers) was at his side to make it better!

Definitely, my list is Sean and than David and than George and then all the others...
.... but Craig is the 007 2.0, while all the others played the same role, Craig in its second movie made a total switch, the script was amazing, like in the last one imho

What is interesting
Bond starts out in the film sporting his Submariner, and then half way through he switches to his Cosmograph. He is definitely a watch guy, he has more than one Rolex in his collection and he wears them on different occasions!
Interesting indeed. I read in some place that the 6238 was a personal watch of Lazenby he bought to celebrate his signing of contract to make Bond...
... May be he wished to wear it in some of the scenes a watch that was important to him for this reason. Just guessing of course.

May be he should have had the chance of some more films and my opinion would have changed. It takes more than one film to get a Bond fan ...

Sean Connery was the best in my personal opinion.
Rodger Moore and Pierce Brosnan gave their Bond a different touch which has to be considered within their own epoch.
It took some time to me to accept Craig as the present Bond but I feel he has now found the spirit of the character. Of course it is just a personal view.

Moore, Brosnan, Dalton and Lazenby made Bond look like a dandy
Brosnan's Bonds are too bombastic: far too unrealistic stunts, invisible cars ... .
Connery brought much more the physical aspect into the role, with a hint of shear, raw power.
Craig, does it even more as he belongs to the current generation of actors that are very athletic.
Craig's movies rank very high except Quantum of solance, that was produced during a writors strike in the film industry.
Skyfall is my personal favorite: Adele singing the intro, Bond burned out, ...

Brosnan's Bond was subject to very poor writing indeed. Although I felt like Brosnan could have been a better Bond if only he had better scripts.
Craig does an excellent job in the modern interpretation, but I think Daniel Craig as an actor does not like doing Bond films anymore.
Might be marketing by Craig to say "It is the last Bond"
At least he co-produced "Spectre" and will surely produce the next one too.
