My first Tudor. BB 58 hadn't had the chance
To try this one on before ordering but did with the 41mm. So was smitten by that so I knew the all blue with smaller dial and thickness would be a no brainer. I was right. Didn't have the same wait with my AD that I'm still having for others I've ordered. Only 3 months. I like the size, the matt dial and bezel too. Not so sure about the rivets on the strap. I compared it to my sub and I have to say they are poles apart on quality and wrist feel. The sub just feels better, oozes presence and looks better even taking into account price difference, i was bit surprised at that . Not much difference in weight too between them with 3 links removed on each 150g for sub 15g more than BB. Anyway a gorgeous piece and confirms to me, around 40mm is my sweet spot in size. Nothing over 42mm from now on! Look forward to wearing it out and about. Any feedback from others who've had it for a while? Cheers S
One thing for sure, the bracelets are worlds apart.
The clasps, and the adjustability of the modern Rolex bracelet is something one can miss when it’s not there on other pieces.
But I like the 58, and I like the bracelet because of the lack of heft and slimmer profile. And of course the watch case itself at 39mm is for me just perfect. I would happily give up some of that higher quality Rolex feel for the lesser price and better (subjective) wrist feel and look.
