If the price versus new (or similar age - condition) is large enough for you to make you tempted, then use the bubble to get some more of the price and buy it (realizing that one thing is for sure; you’ve a unique Rolex )

A very close friend of mine, want to buy his first rolex. Upon inspection, he found a little "dot" (bubble) near the "6" . Definitely not a dust.
Is this a defect (paint bubble)? Something suspicious of fake dial? Everythig else is OK, including the serial number match the guara ntee card (it is a pre+owned, year 2000).

You mean the "bubble" to the left of applied index 6? Don't know what it is. Agreed that doesn't look like dust. Such defect is uncommon in Rolex Sun burst dial.

AFAIK a bubble paint usually only happen in lacquered dial, not sunburst dial
I would pass. Even if correct, the problem is that the dial is not flawless. and for such a " young lady " it is easy to find a correct one in great condition.

Actually the price is decent and quite low, but my friend does not think too much about the price; he thinks more about the flawlessness of the dial. So he passed it, after heard my suggestion.
You may have to open the watch:
and verify that it is in the hope that it is only some particle of dust that is on the dial and not a problem with the dial itself, if it were a particle on the dial the questions would be how did it get there, that is more difficult to explain It could even be a piece of S-luminova that came off at some point, but that can only be known by opening and analyzing the dial., If you find out, tell us what it was and how you solved it.

He only showed that the serial number between the lugs is correct according to the papers. Anyway, my friend has let this go, as he is looking for flawless dial. It is his first rolex, so I understand he needs a good experience in the beginning
