Honestly i can not say wrong words about the Daytona, because i do not wear it, so i have no reason to pick another watch as a favorite. But never saw a bad Omega, or a Omega that is not my cup of tea. And the Speedmaster Moonshine and the new Snoopy you have are my choice if i go to wear a Speedmaster. The Schumacher Speedmaster with the red details is great, and the full grey one i saw in watch time magazine.
My understanding is that this Omega has a cam system instead of a column wheel controlled chronograph? I'll take the Daytona. It might not be the crazy popular choice, as I know Omegas are in vogue, but it's the qualitative one!
You might want to check out the caliber 3861 Patrick. I have been a Daytona and Speedmaster fan for over 25 years and own over a dozen of each...11 - 2 Moonshine...

The caliber 3861 is just as, if not better than, the Rolex caliber 4130 in almost every way. Re-read what I wrote and explain to me how you think the Daytona is better qualitatively unless you have owned both for an extended period of time and can say from an owner's perspective.
IMHO, the Moonshine trounces the Daytona in quality and it is not even close. It is the ONLY gold Speedmaster I can say that about so far as I have not owned many others.
The Gauss resistance, the longer service interval, the G-force resistance is all very interesting stuff! I definitely default to you since you have both to compare side by side. I'll have to wait until I own a Moonwatch before I can make an informed decision. But I will say this much... I MIGHT BE BIASED! I just lean more towards column wheels, and I see column wheels as a very qualitative feature when it comes to movement architecture. From a more objective viewpoint, I'd have to say, you're right, the Omega movement has some many qualitative features. One last thing, I really like the Rolex bracelet, especially that clasp! The lever locking clasps at Rolex are executed very well.
There is no "might" Patrick. You are clearly biased based on your decision and reasoning. No harm or foul committed as we are ALL biased based on our preferences, influences, marketing, social media, perception, etc...

The point of the exercise was to base your decision on the merits of the watches - looks, design, heritage, movement, technicity, etc...
The flip lock buckle of the Rolex is great. I suggest you try on a Moonshine or the new 3861 Speedmaster as it has a similar buckle and see what you think afterwards π
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts after you try it on and get to feel and play with the new bracelet and movement ππ

By the way, the majority of my hand wound chronographs have colum wheels and like you I prefer them but the 3861, although cam actuated, is very smooth and SUPER accurate.
I already did an on the wrist test of my Apollo 11 in SS and also my Moonshine. Both of these watches have the new caliber 3861. After 1 week, the Apollo 11 in SS averaged +1 sec/day and the Moonshine was + 4 - 5 secs after 1 week so less than +1 sec/day π
Admittedly, I'm a bigger fan of the Speedmaster than the Daytona, although I have both (in steel). In gold, for me the advantage for the Speedmaster is even greater.
Iβd go Moonshine too π₯π Love the bezel and black markers

Also like the hue of the gold from pictures, is it distinct in person? It is very flattering on Yokozuna ππ π Plus, the bracelet works really well in gold π while Iβm not a huge fan of it in steel π
I also prefer the matte finish as well as the tone and hue of the Moonshine YG over the YG of the Daytona. Thanks for your input. 13 - 3 Moonshine π
Ah ok, I confused you with another Massimiliano I met but I guess Massimiliano and Giovanna are more common in Italy than they are to me as I don't know many, let alone both who have histories with people of similar names πππ€£
