The 5500 with gilt swiss only dial is super rare.
I realize you changed the case to 1008. Did you keep the original case. I am curious to know the serial range to get a feel for the year. Or the caseback that would have a date stamp. Seems it could be between 1963 and 1964. Previous model seen was 1964 with a I.64 stamp with a 985xxx serial.

I already sold the original case. It was over-polished, so there was no point in keeping it. The 1008 case looks better than 1002 or 5500.
What does the “super precision” mean?
Is it marketing? Or even beter than chronometer standards?

Movement is the upgraded 1530 vs the 1520 "Precision"
Not sure of the exact technical difference but some include lower cost 1520 also 17j lower tariff us market vs 26j ( it could have 26j) like 1530. More Rolex lore.
