Remove the date. That will remove another millimeter. Add a 12-hr counter at 6. Get rid of the snowflake hour hand and voila. Oh wait, that's called a Daytona, never mind!
But the date forms a nice triangle with the two counters.
And in this case the white of the date aligns with the white hour markers.
I can understand you strongly prefer the purity of a dial without the date, but this one isn’t bad (for me at least!).

I don’t mindit here - it is well integrated.
We could argue about the color, but since the index are white too, … 😅
Is the yellow dial overshadowing the loss of 2mm?
At 39mm now this one begins to look a lot more interesting (to me at least).
Personally, I like the yellow.

I wonder why. Any info on if they added the Si14 bits to the Breitling movement like Tudor usually does?
It does have a silicon balance spring. I checked on several Black Bay Chronos, they are not METAS.
Apparently, none of their chronographs have METAS certification. I know those are based on Breitling movements, but I thought that there are upgrades made them METAS.
