Rolex

For those who is familiar with Cape Cod Cloth. it happens when i was cleaning my WG daytona this afternoon with Cape Cod Cloth in the basel area and the side case of watch. and after i rinse the solution off with warm soapy water and wipe it until dry, suddenly i realize that the WG surface is yellowing.
is this normal and happened oftern? what should i do about it? any help or suggestion?

Fyi most 18kt watches have a alloy content to it which brings the color of (23.99kt ) yellow gold to white gold, some times our bodies creates some toxics which reacts to the alloy and long term the color of the metal changes.

What is really required is for a professional watch maker to get you a approximately 5 to 10 microns of Rhodium to the watch which should last you for a good time,

I always use a micro fiber cloth to clean and maintain my watches, I manage a jewelry store and a watch store here in the U S Virgin islands and I'm well aware of your situation it took me almost a few years to figure this out. hope this works for you .

Rolex does not rhodium plate their white gold models.  In certain lighting, I can see a slight gold hue on my WG Daytona.  I doubt that polishing your watch affected the color.  As for having a jeweler "rhodium plate" your Rolex...don't do it. 

If you really feel that there is a problem with the color discoloring, send it into Rolex for service and a professional polishing.
