I just got back from my grabbing my much needed caffeine fix, and I spotted the guy behind me in line sporting a pristine 1680. (I wish I have had my camera with me). It was a spectacular beauty.
So, I decided to post this tread and ask everybody to post their vintage beauties as a hommage to the great pieces from the past, that continue to dazzle us and make history wherever they are spotted.
Although not a Sub, here's my contribution.... a 1977 1675. My only vintage so far. Hopefully either a 1680, 5512, or 5513 will join the collection in due time.

Great weekend to all!
Alex
I knew I could count on you, Nicolas.
Your wife's 1016 and your Red 1680, in particular are just great examples to prove that the passing of time is not necessarily a bad thing.
And your 16750, proves that you have great taste... for obviuos reasons.LOL.
One thing that intrigues me, though is your ease for giving up some lovely pieces (orange explorer, white 1680, to mention a few) How do you do it? Do you take Maquiavelli's approach?? A means in order to find and fund one of your holy grails?

Have a great start to the week, my friend.

Both are lovely pieces, sure to draw people into the great world of vintage Rolex.
Best,

your 1016 and 1680 are both stunning as well, did I read correctly that you let the 1016 go? That one is on my short list but with vintage prices going where they are it makes it tough to buy with out thinning the collection....and I have not found one I want to let go yet.
