Rolex

Hello to all,
I'm new to the Rolex forum. Never been into the Rolex brand because of its high popularity etc even tho i have lots of respect for it. But this Milgauss has really caught my eye! It doesnt scream out Rolex and is very classy. Please share your thoughts if you would. Pics would be appreciated as well. And is Rolex thinking about coming out with a larger size in the future.

3 versions are very nice but my fav one is the black dial because I think it's easier to wear it on a daily basis. Heavy but comfortable, classic with a touch of originality, an excellent caliber, a nice dial without date, this Rolex is for me maybe the most interesting one of the current collection.

I have to be honest. This watch is awesome, like you said! I went to a local AD with a good friend so he could try on the Deep Sea that they had just gotten. And was quiet attracted by the Milgauss with a white dial! Only two set backs. One is no date. And the second is the size. But then again, that's one of the reasons why it looks so classy/clean IMO.

i had one for a little while, and now i miss it. a good classic look IMO. Now that the prices have stabilized, i think its a good buy.

I never thought of buying a Rolex. Until I saw a Milgauss' picture 2 years ago on a watch mag cover. I thought this probably would be the one Rolex I'd eventually buy.  I finally bought one this year. It is a beautiful watch to me. Classy. I like it.

And thanks for sharing your joy. Are you ok with the fact that it does not come with a date!?? Its one of the hold backs for me to be honest.

I like the watch a lot, and at 40mm it's a versatile case size.  My office mate, and good friend, has an anniversary edition with green crystal and it's a nice-looking, cleanly designed, proportional watch with a fantastic element of whimsy (lightning bolt seconds hand).  Even folks at the office who know nothing about watches seem quite attracted to it.  I think the black dial Milgauss is probably the most versatile, but I myself like the lighter dial. 

Would the watch be more attractive with a 42mm case?  Maybe...and like you, I wonder if Rolex will move it up a size, but honestly it's such a handsome timepiece as it stands that I don't think a change is necessary.  The current pricing for this model is quite good IMO.

price is very reasonable now.

The white dial is the most attractive to me as well. It might be a bit more attractive to me in a 42mm size due to my own physical size, but then again, as long as it keeps its class the same. I KNOW that we're not to speak of price in our forum, but what would be an approx. 'fair' price range for this piece in your opinion...

To me, this was the nicest 2007 Basel Fair surprise, wiuth the Ceramic GMT.

A strong and nice watch, indeed.

A bith thick, but its thickness gives it a lot of character.

I opted for the Rasta Milgauss, and if one day I can afford a Vintage one, it will be with great pleasure!

Nice pic btw lol. I like the unique green sapphire on this piece, but to be honest, I'm looking to add a "time keeper" with a white dial to my small collection. GOD willing. So the Milgauss with a white dial attracts me more. I'm also looking at the AP Safari. Any other pieces that would come to your mind that you could recommend for me to peak at. I figured, I would just ask 'the expert'.

and also funny lol. The Expo II looks nice, but screams out Rolex. Thats the main reason. I meant for you to advise any other watch, deosnt have to be a Rolex, with a white dial that fits my style. And I know you know what "time keepers" styles attract me...

Among all these watches, the Rolex Milgauss white dial is on the top of the list, my friend

I already have a PAM. And not  a huge fan of the IWCs. So leaves me with Milgauss, MUT G, Overseas and the Safari. I'll be in Las Vegas soon. So I would hopefully have an opportunity to try them all on in a single weekend. Gearing more towards either the Milgauss (most affordable), or Safari vs Overseas. Which of the later two do you think is a better time keeper overall IYHO my friend?

The problem with the RO or ROOs is that their bezel are scratch magnets..

So for an everyday use...

It sets it even further apart from the rest. I haven't tried one on my wrist for a while now. How does it feel? Not that I'm interested in doing so, but could you change the shoes (strap/bracelet) on it? How heavy is it? And, does it easily scratch? Any more input would be greatly appreciated.

It is such a great watch that my Boss borrowed mine and has been wearing it for the past three weeks.  Not sure that I'm going to get it back very soon.
