for a given period is not a problem for the movement.
The Milgauss is pretty simple to set.... but of course the DD takes longer.
If you like to change your watch on a weekly basis, a winder could be a good idea.

Movement always causes wear - and when they always move, you have to service them rather more often.
I decided for permanent movement of the automatic ones - the manual wind ones get run sometimes.
I love them in the winder - it`s just a delight to watch and to have them ready all the time.
When the DayDates move in the bright light you have flashes all over - amazing !
