Rolex

i have bought 7 rolexes, 2 mens presidents,1 ladies president 2 submariners and 2 ladies all for my children on graduation except mine and my wifes presidents.
these watches were all good timepieces until they required cleaning. i have paid several thousand dollars for cleanings and they never work well again. in fact my son got annoyed and he traded his submariner in on another steel rolex because it was such a piece of junk. it was then that we got comparing notes and the only watch that seems to be any good are one ladies and one submariner.
our repair depots may be at fault (edmonton,calgary and vancouver)
does anyone know a good repair shop or have you had the same experience as i have.
i will watch this blog and keep it posted.

First, sorry to hear about your problems. 

A few questions:

Did you send the watch in to a AD (authorized dealer) that in turn sent it to a Rolex Service Center?  Is the cleaning you mentioned a overhaul?  What exactly is wrong when you say "they never work well again"?  Is it accuracy problems, functioning problem?  Please clarify so that we may be of help.

Also please note that requests for independent repair shops are to be recommended to you by others via PM only.

the watches all do not keep good time after servicing.we have paid up to 900 dollars so i expect that the are more than just cleaning. i do know that they do the repairs here in edmonton as i have seen the watches taken apart. they claim to be an a d but i suspect they are not. i will attempt to locate the toronto repair shop and see what they will do. im sure rolex didnt get its reputation by not maintaining a good repair network so i think my problem is local

Although I am not a rolex fan, it seems strange that you have all these problems.
Did you take them to authorized dealers? what is wrong with them?

i have taken them to supposedly rolex dealers where i bought some of them and they advertise as dealers. the vancouver and calgary ones are my kids and im sure they take them to dealers.

the problems are they dont keep good time,they quit totally as my president has presently done . there was no warranty on my wifes (it worked for the first 5 or 6 years so we didnt test the warranty.) and when you bring them back they charge another 200. on top of the 800 or 900 dollars to reset them. .i didnt realize we were all having poblems until my son traded his in .

would apprecite any leads as t a reputable repair facility. i would like to get them done at  certified rolex dealer but need some help in finding good ones.

 

Watches serviced by a Rolex Service Center (NOT to be confused with 'Authorized Dealers', which many have a 'watchmaker' hack in the back room who can barely size a bracelet) come with a one-year warranty, so sending it back to rectify any remaining issues is covered gratis by the warranty. The 'Authorized Dealer' charging you extra for every follow-up visit is reflective of the dealer and NOT Rolex.
Save yourself the headache and just send them directly to the RSC, unless someone PMs you information on a competent independent watchmaker who can match Rolex's post-warranty repair quality.

boy have i ever foud al these bracelet adjusters. now al i need is to find a competent RSC in canada .

The only listed ROLEX SERVICE CENTER in Canada is in Toronto (found in my warranty booklet), and Rolex does have a 1 year service warranty. I wonder if your watches are still carrying the same original parts as when you bought them?! Best of luck, Rick
