I hope it is OK to post here...
I just bought a Tudor Archeo - the large model with automatic movement ( ref - 428020 ).
Just curious on which movement is used for this movement as the manual outlines as ' automatic movement designed and manufactured by Tudor '? This seems like a manufacture movement by Tudor.
Also, it is quite loud when the rotor is winding - Is this normal for this model?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Regards.
But I believe it is an ETA movement, somewhat modified for Tudor. What I've heard about it is that they are pretty reliable movements (ETA in general, but specially in Tudor disguise). Not sure about the rotor noise. I guess this is different for most brands, but I don't recall reading about rotor noise in ETA movements.
Don't know if you can post this on the Rolex forum. Probably shocked at least a few Purists LOL.
Best,
Starman
Hi, Starman
Thanks for your advice. I assume my post is OK since it is not locked/deleted...
Actually, I know Tudor using ETA movement, but, after reading the manual, I am quite surprise to learn such statement.
My post is just for learning... And, I did it with your kind help... Or, some experts can educate me more...
Anyway, I have no issue on the movement whether it is in-house or out-source, as long as the owner is happy...
For the rotor noise, I just hope someone can share, if not, I am OK as well as it is just a liitle bit louder than my other ETA based watches.
Again, thanks.
Regards.
