Rolex

I've finally made my choice and own my first Rolex. Never been a big fan of their pieces except for 2 models, and between the two, this Milgauss is my pick and I have to say, I'm mighty happy with it. The variation with the green crystal did attract me, but I didn't like it enough to part with the additional dollars needed for that. I still find the Speedmaster a little more comfortable to wear...perhaps that view will change at some point.  Sharing this new addition to the "family" now.

The funny thing with this watch ( being green or not ) is that I wasn't very keen on it when I saw the pics, and was totally mad when I put it on my wrist.

Mad, and of course completely convinced.

The whole volumes of the case, the dial, the bezel, the thickness,  the weight; the feeling when you have it on the wrist, + the small touch of fantasy with this zigzaging second hand make this watch a very special one.

Thanks, Nicolas.  It does feel different after you put it on, doesn't it. I loved the seconds hand when I saw it in the flesh, when typically I would walk right by a Rolex display In my view, it presents a uniqueness of an otherwise "standard" offering, and lends an air of freshness to the whole package, which is a very nice one, I must add.

I am enjoying it.

A truly unique and exquisite timepiece which will only grow on you as it has on me.Everything about it speaks quality and with a subtlety that only one that is in possession of it knows.The dial, with the inlaid indices, the flamboyant second hand,the quality and ease of use of the bracelet and clasp,the accurate time keeping all make it an absolute joy to own and wear.

It's started growing on me as it is. Two days in, and I'm loving it a whole lot more than when I picked it up - and even then, I already loved it!

Congratulations on your first Rolex, I had the white dial and loved it.  I had to part with it, but clearly intend to get one again at a later date.
