This is a repost of mine that may help
This question has me stumped as I thought the "Triplock" always had an O-ring on the exposed part of the stem where this Triplock as the gasket on the inside. Again I may be simply wrong in my reading of the Triplock diagram below but I don't see the O-ring in the doc.
Thanks
Bill

Sorry about the double thread on the Triplock. Hopefully you will get twice the response. But I think you may already have what you need.

...in the early 1970's did not have the external o-ring.

Is it possible to say what year the triplock replaced the twinlock?
And when the 7030 triplock with external O-ring replaced the 7020 without?
Thanks for any additional information.

The O ring on my 16800 sort of tore at one part and I had it replaced at RSC (they replace the crown with the ring). However, I noticed again that there is a small tear on the new O-ring. Should I be concerned and get ti fixed again or just leave it. And I do not bring this baby swimming.
Thanks
