Rolex

I already told you that THE watch which lead me to madly fall in love with watches was a Rolex GMT.

I also told you that it was because the first time I saw one was in a Thomas Magnum Episode.

So, I did a search and finally fell on the picture which was the cause of this madness...

These pics haunted my dreams, so, 15 years after, it was quite logical that my first watch would ( or should ) be a Rolex GMT!

We are greatful to you and excited about it.

I believe that the GMT was the " first real watch " for a lot of us.

It will be interesting to know how many got it as their forst watch...

Who wouldn't want the same watch as that sexy beast?!    I loved Magnum, P.I. when I was a kid, so I asked my dad to please grow a mustache like Tom's.  My mother vetoed that idea though!  LOL!  The watch itself is a classic.  Very nice story, Nicolas.  It's amusing sometimes what influences our purchases!

We were at the end of the 70ies, early 80ies.

I also remember that episode but I wasn't into watches back then so I didn't really notice what watch it was..!!

Mine comes back on Mon with the same pepsi bezel and I can't wait..
