Rolex

Could any Rolex experts please help me out. After about a year of searching I have found a 1675 which to my eyes has the perfect patina. It is from 1972 and has a beautifully faded bezel and the hands and hour markers are a lovely shade of cream. My question is can I do anything to keep the watch in this condition? Will the bezel continue to fade and the paint/tritium continue to darken? I wear the watch outdoors about 2 to 5 days per month and keep the watch in a safe when not worn. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

First of all, congratulations on a very nice specimen of matt 1675.

Don't worry, the condition of your watch, and more specifically the bezel and the indexes won't  fade too much ( not to say at all ) if you keep it away from the sun and humidity.

Your superb photos and articles are one of the reasons I wanted a 1675.
I own a Speedmaster 105.003 and was proud of the fact that NASA astronauts wore the same.
I later discovered that many of the astronauts bought Rolex GMTs for their personal use.
Therefore the search was on for a 1675 from what I call the Apollo era.
The model I bought is from 1972 , the last year of moon landings.
The watch was actually the cheapest I saw and came with two folded link bracelets from 1972 (3816 I think)

Thanks for the advice and I will continue to enjoy wearing it without worrying about further fading.
