Let's see some nice no crown guards Subs...
I accidentally fell on these pictures I took on a friend's 5508. A nice Exclamation Dot Dial, in superb condition.
We have a lof of Bic Crown Fans, here, and there are some excellent reasons to explain that passion: The strenght of the Watch, its character, its presnece of the wrist are among the most often mentionned explanations.
But the small no crownguard Subs have strong arguments, too, such as an undipsutable elegance, class.
Here is my friend's specimen, with mine.
No Exclamation Dot on mine, but a superb deep and flawless dial with an uncommon patina of the indexes made me fall in love with it.
I just need a correct insert to make it perfect. One of my targets for the year to come...

Ha ha ha!! Yes collectors are greedy my friend, you know well...
... I have shown here some time ago, my first 5508 with a very bad dial (replacement), which keeps me off completely enjoy it. Case, movement, etc are very nice, but dial is the "face" of a timepiece and regretably is not good.
Will see what I can do with it in the future.

Here is mine: 5508 from 1958 with gilt service dial....
Well, I am afraid...
...it left for the 6538, which in turn went for the Comex.
But the current owner treasures it properly - like I should have!

As to your 911. Well my guess it is from the mid- late 1970s or very early 1980s (but I stick to 1970s).

Except for my 5508, all the other Subs have found new owners! ;-)
And the 911 is a 2.0S short wheel base from 1968.
