Grey elegance.. Sporty tool.. And a very pronounced presence..

 By: hs111 : April 20th, 2014-10:51
.. which I guess, is mainly perceived at a second look
- Somehow a " love in drops" , I guess ;

And yes, I can imagine a separation, followed by
a second wind of love !

To maybe never let go again, unless.. - well, our desires
sometimes run in twisted paths..

Thanks for that low-key, but joyful pleasure to look at !

Best, hs

I tested it, and very shortly after having sold it, I regretted it...

An absence and a lasting love for 3 years!

That means a lot.

Best, my friend.

Nicolas.

I am not a big Rolex fan, but ...

 By: Marcus Hanke : April 21st, 2014-03:24
... this Yachtmaster is one of the few Rs that I would gladly wear. The other ones being the Explorer II with white dial, and the wonderful Cellini/Prince.

Marcus

That doesn't surprise me, Marcus. This YM is for a broader audience than only Rolex Fans.

 By: amanico : April 21st, 2014-03:32

Thank you!

Best,

Nicolas

Is this good or bad? ...

 By: Marcus Hanke : April 21st, 2014-04:05
Are Rolex fans the true connoisseurs, with the broader audience the uneducated plebs (all with tongue in cheek, of course!), or is it the other way round?

Marcus

That is excellent, to see a watch appreciated not only by Rolex fans, in my opinion. [nt]

The YM is a watch that I have never owned...

 By: Ross Povey : April 21st, 2014-05:01
but, interestingly, it is the only Rolex I would consider buying new.

I often think about the fun of walking into an AD and sitting down to try the watch on, then buying it (after the champagne!) and having the papers made out in my name.

I really tried to do this with the 39mm Exp 1, but I just couldn't find any love for it on my wrist.

maybe my 'new' watch purchase should be a YM...the only problem being that every time I get some funds together another tatty old Sub calls my name ;-)

Maybe in Sept when Tudor lands here ;-)

R

That is an experience I only lived once, but which I appreciated a lot.

It was the Rasta Milgauss...

Best, my friend.
