Collectable?
Well, for me...no. Its not my style of watch to wear at all. For Nicolas, well I am not sure. For Bill, yes, he likes it. Across the three of us, then, you have a spectrum of views. Now, does any of those views make a difference to you? My guess is, you should buy it if you like it. Collectability based on how much you enjoy a watch is only for you to tell. Collectability based on how much it will appreciate in value....well, is that why we buy a watch?

Anything is collectable...
...even sea-shells; but if you mean "will it become very valuable in future (monetarily)?" then I'd look elsewhere...

I'm quite sure it won't increase in value at all. I did not put it right I guess. Buying watches as an investment is stupid to begin with. Occasionally one can be lucky, but you should buy a watch because you like it. And if it keeps value it's a bonus. But that should not be the main reason for aquiring a watch in my opinion.
Just haven't seen that dial around often so I was wondering if it was original.
But I'm getting it anyways. Like the twist it gives on the classic Day Date.

Just like the 'Paul Newman' Daytona. Also love that (same) color combo. Though I'm not a YG fan. But who knows the yellow gold will come back in style as most things do sooner or later (fashion wise).

JFK, Presidents are rarely collectible, especially the single quick set that collectors shun. But is it nice to own one? Hell ya!
