Sweet sweet Rolex Explorer 6610.
One of the most desirable dials I know, among Vintage Rolex watches.
The 3 / 6 / 9 configuration, + this deep glossy black Brown dial + the amber hour markers + the 36 mm case justify the big efforts you have to do to try to take a decent picture of this Watch.
On its appropriate decorum....
Definitely a jewel in the Vintage Rolex Collection!

... about past adventures and explorations in far & exotic places... Of dangers and valiant human beings in quest of their dreams and obsessions... of old books I read when I was young which led me to dream with their exploits.
How could I resist the haunting of these little marvelous watches? I love the present rendition, but regret Rolex has abandoned the use of the thick puffy lume indexes of the past. No need to say that I much prefer these vintage examples of the 6610 or 1016.
Yours is a charming example of what a collector loves in an old Explorer. Everything is there present which makes for the DNA of this classic model.
