Some treasures from the Past: 1675 Exclamation Dot, PCG CR, TruBeat 6556 and 6610.

It is always the same song, with a GTG... You discover or re discover some true treasures from the Past.

As a GMT Master Fan, I cannot stay insensible to the charm of a nice 1675.

This one is no exception!

 

It is always thrilling to face a nice 6610, too:

 


 

The gilt wording, semi matte finish of the dial, and the lollipop seconds hand are such a charm!

As for the Tru Beat, Ref 6556, this is the first time I see one in the flesh.

Once the surprise to see the second hand jumping in a Rolex Watch is over, you look at the whole Watch, and it is difficult to not fall in love with it.

  


 

Ok, here, we often see nice GMT Masters, but these early Explorers and Tru Beat are really something!

I think the GMT is nice that you show and it is has its charms. But the 6610 is extremely fine. I have rarely seen such a nice example with golden gilt hands.
I love the GMT - it will be always my first love along with the Submariner. But the Explorer models are growing on me in a huge way. Especially the early ones so 6150, 6350 and the very early 6610 (up to 1956/57).

ps: As for the trubeat. Not really my taste. Not really my taste at all....
