TAG Heuer has teamed up with Calibre 11 to release the Jo Siffert Collector’s Edition Autavia, a Limited Edition of 100 pieces sold exclusively by Calibre 11.

The Siffert name and brand has been licensed by Calibre 11 for this watch and represents the first time that the Siffert name has appeared on the Autavia- vintage or modern.

The 2018 Autavia Jo Siffert Collector’s Edition features a white dial and black sub-dials with the familiar blue “Siffert” highlights.

At the back of the watch is a smoked sapphire caseback featuring Jo Siffert’s signature, through which collectors can view the in-house TAG Heuer Heuer-02 Calibre, modified exclusively for this watch to feature Heuer-only branding.

The Siffert Autavia comes with both a specially developed black leather calf-skin strap and a 7-row steel "Grains of rice" bracelet as well as a unique signed presentation box.

Jo Siffert shot to fame by winning the 1968 Formula 1 British Grand Prix, a victory that attracted the attention of Jack Heuer, who decided to sponsor the Swiss F1 and Porsche Le Mans ace.

As part of the deal, Siffert wore the Heuer logo on his racing overalls and a Heuer Autavia 1163T Chronograph on his wrist.

The famous 1163T Autavia is distinguished by a white dial and black sub-dials with a central blue chronograph hand and highlights, a model now among the most sought by vintage Heuer collectors and known colloquially as the “Siffert Autavia”.
The unique design elements of the 2018 Siffert Autavia include:
• Vintage-style dial, with the standard “Heuer-02” text
above the date window removed
• Specially developed black calf-skin strap with Heuer
tang buckle
• Jo Siffert signature on the smoked sapphire caseback
• Specially decorated Calibre Heuer-02 movement with
several changes over the standard Autavia movement:
- “Heuer” rather than “TAG Heuer” logo and
shield on the movement plate and rotor
- The use of white, rather than red, lettering for
maximum legibility
• Bespoke presentation box with Jo Siffert signature
