Excellent pictures that detail a journey

...which is what our watches are all about. Our companions on a journey. I need to find time to document my pictures like you have...very nice and it tells a story in itself.

I find this one very versatile, and as you say, neither a dress watch nor a sports watch, that makes it so. With t shirts and jeans, shorts, or even with a suit, it doesn't look out of place. I think it's because it's designed for real everyday use, even with the 100m water resistance, it just works!

Great watch you have there!

I also find that Grand Seikos conspire to get under the skin but mostly only of the owners - bystanders seldom know what they are looking at (which is part of the appeal, I guess) smile

Looking forward to more pictures!

I agree completely

Those who know, will know smile Certainly one that should be appreciated a lot more. Amazing watch and going under the radar the way it does adds to the appeal.

Got a different reference but the experience is similar

The SBGH035 flies under the radar equally easily. And I find it quite mesmerizing on the wrist, the hands, the dial, the case finishing...

Only got spotted with it four times, twice in Singapore (which for a week is a lot) and twice by two of my former bosses, who are both into watches smile

That another great point...

When someone recognizes it, it becomes a conversation starter and even possibly a nice friendship between people who appreciates watches.

Both of the people that recognized it in Singapore...

Have expressed a strong interest in getting some themselves smile One was showing me pics of an SBGW047 that he may want to buy the next day, the other discussing how to get it past his wife wink

Your reference has a really nice textured dial...

Thanks for the encouragement! :)

Will definitely do so - now if only I could make some proper macros...

I like this combo!

Correct me if I'm wrong: does this beautifully matching strap is an upgrade?
Ciao,

Elio

I don't know if it's an upgrade

But I swapped out the original titanium bracelet very quickly. The bracelet is very comfortable and probably best suited for everyday use, especially in the tropics where I live, but I personally feel the brown leather strap brings out the cream and detail of the dial a lot more.
