Seiko

Yesterday in the late vening a shuffled through my hidden storage of straps (I think there must be nearly a hundred of them!) and found this sand-coloured NATO strap. It was 21mm wide, a millimeter too much for the Seiko Sumo, but I wanted to check how this watch would look on a NATO:








I am really surprised how nice this combination looks. Especially the wide gap between the case and the spring bars, that compromises any leather and most rubber straps fitted to the watch, is of no relevance here.

Do you have any other shots of your Seikos on NATO straps? I just saw one in the Seiko 5 thread ...

Have been thinking of getting a Sumo for a while and wanted to replace the bracelet as well. Was initially thinking of a canvas / sailcloth strap but this NATO combo of yours works really, really well, too. Food for thought

How does it wear on the NATO?

... next week for an offroad expedition weekend in the sandy Lausitz area, then I'll know more.
