This was not a press tour. I'm not under NDA.
Each time we where in a sensitive area, you guide told us that pictures where not allowed.
As you can see, I did not post photos of any production unit.

Neither was I...

I was part of a collector tour, they allowed me to take pictures of whatever I wanted actually, but was told that if I wanted to post a report that I should send it to Seiko first and they would review and approve it first before I could post it. When I visited the Wako Store in Ginza and took out my camera to take some pictures it was a big issue also, its not allowed. Only the manager of the store gave me special permission to take 2 pictures of a very special Greubel Forsey on display.

When I visited the Audemars Piguet factory with the Purists group we were allowed to take pictures of whatever we wanted and post whatever we wanted online, the only place where pictures were not allowed were the R&D, Special Advanced Research Areas and those of upcoming pieces to be announced which makes sense.

Its interesting to see the differences in Culture smile

Wonderful read :) but one small correction, the first 36000 commercially available wasn't the Lord Marvel it was Girard Perregaux's 32A in 1966. If you meant in terms of Seiko then yes.

I have been a bit too enthusiasm.
You are wright, 32A caliber from Girard Perregaux was launch in 1966.
Thanks for reading me carefully, and correcting my mistakes. ;-)

Perfect season to visit Seiko

Thank you for the souvenirs from Japan.
You caught the end of season unagi eel and early Autumn...perfect.

The Seiko tours were superb and we are envious of the special variant Factory-Only Grand Seiko watch.
Of course, our Japanese Vintage Sensei must have been very helpful....

Regards,
MTF
