Seiko

Hi, I own a Snowflake and also a Hi Beat 36,000 GMT. Both are on the bracelets they came with. I am wondering if anyone has put their Seikos on a strap and if so what straps can you recommend and would you know the sizes? Any help is appreciated. Also if you have any photos please post!

That would be one option, to get original straps and buckles from Seiko. Best, Martin

You will need a buckle of course, and probably 20/18 or 19/16 straps. Best to measure and have the watch store install them, unless you fancy scratches.

I like my GMT on its original bracelet, although I was thinking a no. 8 shell cordovan strap with a GS deploy at buckle might go well... Although it might be worth just leaving it.

GMT soon and will certainly be swapping the bracelet for a strap as past experiences with my spring drive has seen innumerable unavoidable scratches on the bracelet despite taking precautions.The only non-aesthetic part would be a generic buckle as i have no access to a Grand Seiko buckle.the 19/16 gauge seems to be the correct size for the hi-beat GMT

Bracelets are simply functional, they look fine with scratches. At least in my opinion. The watch will wear its scars well if it's looked after, which I'm sure yours will be.

I tend to agree but sometimes it can be quite irritating!

Don't let natural and careful disrupt your horological pursuits!
