In 2013, my wife purchased a SARB033 to celebrate my entrance into watchmaking school. This was my first automatic watch and my first experience with Seiko timepieces. Fast forward a few years and now I've added an SBGH267 to the mix! Excited to finally have a Grand Seiko in my collection. All those years of tinkering with vintage Seikos in class must have gotten me hooked on the brand.
Funny thing is I added a personal grail watch about a week later - the 2014 GPHG "Petite Aiguille"-winning SBGJ005. I think I should stop for a while to let all the awesomeness of these watches sink in, haha!

From humble beginnings... my SARB033, SRPA21, and finally the Baselworld 2018 Hi-beat SBGH267.

Recently added the Hi-beat GMT SBGJ005, but that's going straight to the service center.

On the SBGH267, the inner portion of the lugs are redone. The
"triangle" creates some airiness and complexity with the reflections. I
can see how this is quite challenging to achieve with their
zaratsu/sallaz polishing method.
