Thank you all comments, indeed, I changed this watch to a sapphire crystal, double AR flat, coin bezel, ceramic incert, mercedes combas, and the original GP leather strap.
soon I will finish the second project, is another seiko type pilot, and I hope to put it here

I've been over the fence on modding a SKX007 for myself, but I haven't gathered the will to do so (and the needed tools) 🤣

So maybe I will ask for your advice someday.

If I have made the changes personally, and you need some tools but they are not very expensive and with a little patience everything will be perfect,
And if of course when you like, we can talk about any change you want to make to your skx007, the best crystals, ceramics, etc.
In my second Seiko project I also plan to change everything mentioned plus the caliber from a 7s26 to a 4R36.

I have also gotten my hands on several Rolex OQ, Date Day, and sub., GP, Cartier, AP, and a few more, for hands and dial changes.

In this wonderful world of watches there are always interesting things that can be improved

the 007 has a much wider range of products to be modified, something very important to modify is where you want to take the watch, keep the "diver" concept or change it, and This is where the modification will start because when changing the concept you must change the dial and the hands of the new concept. (diver, pilot, GMT, casual, Samurai, etc ..) In addition to the improvements in the crystal, crown, caliber if you wish etc ...
personally what I like a lot about Seiko is its case steel, it is excellent, very hard and you can really get a "mirror" shine when you polish it, unlike other brands where I have seen its work very poor and soft (prestigious brands)
Now as to whether it is J or K, the most important thing is its precision, the accuracy with which it can count every day, I have had in my hands new calibers made in Japan where they are very out of date and I had to adjust the precision in them but in general they are gauges very easy to adjust and repair or replace,
The truth is that in some modifications if you can get to spend more than the watch itself can cost, but believe me the change is worth it

My seiko model is SRPC41K PADI, case diameter is 42.3mm.

I would like to keep the original insert and put a faded vintage one.

Seller says inner diameter is 31.2, outer one is 38.
