but they are mainly quartz I believe. Once a brand makes mechanical watches, problems will creep in - the question would be how often and how many.
The Volkswagen cars in Malaysia are either wholly imported from Germany or some like the Polo and Jetta are partly assembled in Malaysia to take advantage of tax breaks. Quite a few of the German brands like Mercedes Benz and BMW also assemble their cars here and they work perfectly fine but Volkswagen for some reason seem to have lots of mechanical issues. A friend of mine who actually used to work for the brand asked me to stay away from it. Again I must reiterate that I have only heard of great things about the brand while living in the UK for 35 years and owned two wonderful Sciroocos myself. So the general consensus with the brand in Malaysia be it locally assembled or fully imported from Germany (and this is among the car mechanics) is the extreme hot weather coupled by the daily traffic jams have had an adverse impact on the cars.
I guess it is like Lange. Many will say that the build quality of this brand is among the best among the large brands. I beg to differ based on my experience with the Lange 1. What I can say though is that I am highly impressed with the customer service offered by this brand.
