Pops bought it while on a business trip to Kuwait in early '66, and wore it nearly every day for almost forty years. After one(!) service in that time span, he gave it to me. Had my watchmaker at the time service it, but it wasn't long before it started running erratically, so it went to a second watchmaker who made matters worse. Stopped wearing it for ten years or so, then gave it to my current watchmaker, a Seiko specialist, for restoration.
The previous watchmaker had butchered the movement, but fortunately all necessary parts were available and it now runs well enough to wear again.
