I also own a Black Monster, mine is from around 2005, and still runs well (despite +1 to 2 minutes a day !), I always wear it when I don't want to bother about my watch, almost indestructible !
The main concern is that a service is wort more than replacing the movement ! But still I will keep it; and will keep on using it.
check the current market!
That's a discontinued piece, with a fair bit of perceived value. I'd have it serviced! Would love to see a picture too,
