it´s nice to have a forum just for Seiko. Some months ago I stumbled over some pics of old Seiko diving watches and immediatley fell in love. Shortly after I had the chance to buy this Diver 150, ref. 6105-8000 from 1968. What do yu guys think about it?

I think you made an excellent choice.
I took the dive in vintage Seiko Divers recently and I don't regret the adventure.

From a collector of vintage Seiko divers, that is a beauty.
Most vintage Seikos don't age in this way. Either they stay close to the original color, or they miscolor and 'rot'.
My single-owner 6105-8000 is stark white, but I prefer the look of yours. Congratulations.
The original seconds remains pink as yours is.
On watches that had their hands replaced the second hand is more red than pink.

Great looking 6105s guys!
Honestly if I had to go back to just one watch I would most probably keep the 6105. Its really an underappreciated piece and has the perfect lines, coin edge bezel and excellent surround markers. Its quite a watch. Seems all the good ones are here

Tropic strap is always a good choice but remain a NATO fan.
I got the original Seiko rubber strap but just for originality.

The Seiko 6105 still a powerhouse.
I will need to hunt an older one. I have a couple but from the early 1970.
On a recent dive trip the 6105 went down to 33 meters.

Hiya Bill, long time not spoken.
Actually, I have recently sold back the 6105-8000 shown above to the original owner. Now so only have a 6105-8110 Willard in my little stock.

Upon looking at the back
I must comment that 90% of the Seikos I have seen have at least one "open it with needlenose pliers" scratch on the back
My guess is the owners are making an attempt to remove the caseback
(having done a scratch or two myself in earlier, more-naive days)
