Hi Guys,
Has anyone tried an alternative strap on their SBGW047 - I'd be very curious to hear any thoughts.
I find the original strap a little too dressy for my taste and wondered if anyone else felt the same?
I'm thinking of swapping the strap on mine and would welcome any suggestions - I'm thinking of perhaps a simple calf leather or shell cordovan.

Stitched GS strap
Hi Vernon,
I wear mine on GS crocodile strap with stitches. Feels much better and sturdier compared to the original. Works for me.

Great watch isn't it - I'm sure mine will be worn a lot more when I get a strap I'm happier with.

Not only is the supplied strap arguably dressy . . .
. . . it's downright uncomfortable in my experience. Overly stiff, to the point where it was impossible to keep the watch centered on my wrist.
Switched to a custom cayman outer / shell inner layer custom short strap; much more supple, and consequently, doesn't shift position any longer.
Funny thing, though: the only images I currently have of the strap . . .
. . . are from when it was attached to my now-departed IWC.
