Hi, I am about to get married and want to buy my wife a watch as a wedding present.
I am interested in buying her a Tank Solo as I like the simplicity of the dial and the high polish of the bracelet - and I also think Cartier has that certain touch of class. The decision I am struggling with is the size - do I go for the small (which is designated as a ladies watch) or the large (which is detailed as mens).
This will be her first watch of such quality and I want to get it right. She currently wears a watch with a 35mm round dial - so could wear either.
Does anyone have any thoughts/comments?
Regards, Patrick
EDITOR'S UPDATE:
Watch chosen was Tank Solo (photo below)
Actual bracelet more sparkles......
The smaller sized Cartier Tank Solo is 31mm while the larger sized is 35mm.
Since she's used to wearing a 35mm round, I wouldn't go smaller.
Cheers,
Anthony
The Cartier watch icon in it's own lifetime is the Cartier Ballon Bleu.
You can start with the simple time-only and metal case....
Or you could go flatter....
Finally, you could go white.....
With Cartier, I'm sure she will love you long time.........
Good Luck,
MTF

Gents you all may recall I was thinking about buying a Cartier Tank Solo for my 'wife to be' as a wedding present. I couldn't decide between the medium and large case - I went with the large case and I am pleased to say she is absolutley delighted with the watch.
It looks fantastic on her and whilst she has a small wrist, the watch face sits perfectly (due to it being so slim) and the bracelet sparkles in a number of different ways. A very classy watch for a very special lady.
Thanks for all your help and advice.
Regards, Patrick
