F.P. Journe

Just got this and I’m absolutely in love.
Does anybody have any 3rd party straps to recommend for this? I feel like I need a more casual strap to rotate with and all of the Journe gator straps seem to be a bit dressy

I have to say, after having tried different makers, that the FPJ straps are pretty impressive quality, and actually superior to others.

But they could also come from ABP Concept or Kaufmann. Anyway, as far as my hearsay goes, Fournet tends to do pretty bad on their consumer products.

I don't know - doesn't help that their website is in French only.

Horrible service and poor quality.
Stick to journe straps, very good.. and nice colours too. Plus they can do the service without scratching your watch , but easy to remove and attach by yourself thanks to the friendly mechanism.

I used to be a regular ABP customer until about a year and a half ago. Their service and quality declined quite suddenly. I've had to return ABP straps to them to have them redone; I've waited months without correspondence for special order straps (straps made of skins not shown on their website) after the order was placed. I've even had to threaten to sue them for breach of contract.
Fournet, I tried just once and once again the correspondence was spotty but the product was good.
I'm now looking for another strap maker to try.

When my strap finally arrived I picked it up, they wanted to attach it themselves .. I was in the end of this useless young girl who scratched my watch, missed the right hole, had to add three more to get the strap the right size resulting my strap riddled with holes... I was watching all this horrified. Just horrible horrible experience.

CF ok but the straps I bought Years ago they start softening now,, basically two surf boards.. stiff as hell.. no good.

Got a very poor quality custom from CF and absolutely no effort to make things right.
ABP customer service during order process was very poor. Decided to avoid.
I get all my customs now from Jean Rousseau. Just wish they had a couple more color options in their non-leather materials.

Try a black shell cordovan.

What are the sizes for lug and buckle dimensions for the current classique range of FPJ?  

…beautiful suede strps with the right, rounded quick-change spring bar. I have two versions that I use on my CB, the Istanbul and the Helsinki, if I remember correctly. 

Not necessarily wanting premade ones and thinking more bespoke ideas. Also regarding fitment size on straps if able?
