Obsessed with FP Journe
Just thought I'd share my collection of Journes. It started nearly 3 years ago wth the boutique edition Octalune, and then I added an early Resonance, followed by a 4th generation Tourbillon. I added an Elegante for the missus, finally got my hands on a Chronometre Bleu, and most recently, topped off the group with a Vagabondage III.
Where will this journey take me going forward, I must wonder

The brand is so creative. They were cautious at the beginning but have explored widely since then.
Difficult to pick a favourite - all of them are interesting but I have a soft spot for the vagabondage

Though I have never been attracted to Journe' hand design, nevertheless as you may have read in an earlier response of mine "When you see the truth, all you can do is shut up and point!" (The saying of an old philosophy professor applied here to mean "These watches are fabulous! Never mind my minor prejudices!"
Have you ever tired a black strap on this piece? I say this because for my eye the striking blue of the present strap takes away from the sky behind the moon. Perhaps it came with a black strap? Anyway, I find such personal preferences interesting, I mean no offense. Would I wear the watch as you present it? YOU BET YOUR LIFE!!! Have a fine week. FH

And thank you! Yes I used to have it on the original black strap. I use this strap just to make things brighter. I know it's not something everyone would like
That’s a fantastic collection, no question.
I think that particular Resonance is a sleeper. The metal and dial combination are, I believe, the best combination of all (slightly shading out the black dials, which are colder, and objectively more pleasing to the eye than the more “popular” or “desired” coloured gold dials). And it’s rarely seen, although there’s one other here I think.
So, what next with Journe? If anything.
I also have a two tone Resonace, but with RG movement.
I’d say Optimum the next move. Or the Calenrier!
That sounds like a rationale stance to take.
For me, I’m a big fan of the Optimum but I’m not convinced I like it on my wrist (size).
I would also like to pick up a CS at some point but only the white gold dial is interesting to me from the regular production. In an ideal world I would want a custom / unique CS.
