unfortunately my Octa automatique Lune broke down less than 12 hours of wear time. It was also my first Journe.

Just like any new treasure, I treated mine in the most delicate fashion, you could imagine my disappointment when the second hands just stopped after I had only worn it twice.  Montres Journe SA said that it was due to a defect in the first series of Octa Lune. 

While I wait for my watch to be fixed in Geneva, I would be grateful if anyone would care to share with us what this defect was and has anyone else suffer such bad experience?

I'm very surprised you experienced trouble with an Octa Automatique. Given this is one of the newest models, using the the most modern equipment I'm surprised there was any defect at all. I will dig deeper. In the meantime please stay tuned. Having experienced problems withe earlier models I will say it's worth the wait. PP has had years and years to perfect their calibres so I give FPJ a little slack. At the same time given the price tag all of us expect perfection.

Dear Brad,

Ironically, I was going to buy a PP initially but bought the FPJ AL instead as it spoke to me.

 As forgiving as ever, I kept telling myself that it would be a good test for FPJ's aftersale service. My wife however is less forgiving, as never had we bought anything costing as much that broke down in 12 hours. It will take a lot of convincing on my part when I buy my next Journe piece.

Sorry Brad - we never got a 'Lune'........always so close but never did it for series 1 or 2 or.......
