Summer is not the best season for wearing watches with crocodile strap.

I found the solution to keep with me my Chronometre Souverain during july and august : the NASA velcro strap .

It looks a little strange , but  it is very comfortable. Unfortunately the buckle is in stainless steel and not in platina :

The crocodile strap of my JLC has been suffering in the center of Brazil.  I do not have a “spare” strap but even if I had I don’t have the tools to change it and won’t let anyone – even the AD – do it until it’s worn out. I really fear having it scratched...

...but I love it, looks great! I see some sand particles in the strap - how does the CS fair in/near water?

That is simply wrong for such an elegant watch.  Looks terrible IMHO.  Sorry to be blunt. 

I think I saw a display case here in my hometown with water resistant/proof leather straps made by Hirsch (sp); might be worth a try imho

Although I would like to see some more exotic skin straps on the CS...I think it could pull of some colorful gators also..

just make sure its secure!!!!

but I do admire you enjoying your piece and after all you are the only one that needs to be happy with it. I think maybe a nice black or brown shell cordovan strap would look nice and they are very sweat resistant, but if you like it who cares what I think
